Dr. Rivas is a dedicated pediatric specialist with that has been in practice for 30 years. He completed his internship and pediatric residency at Rutgers University Hospital -Children's Hospital of New Jersey in 1992. After his training, he began his practice in Austin, Texas, where he lived for 13 years before relocating to Gonzales with his family in 2006.
Dr. Rivas has a wealth of experience in both hospital and ambulatory care, and is skilled in caring for healthy and complicated newborns, premature infants, children, and adolescents up to the age of 21. In addition to covering the full range of pediatric care, he has particular interests in Dermatology, Asthma/Allergies, Infectious Diseases and critically ill newborns and infants.
